Challenges and Strategic Responses ความท้าทายและการด� ำเนินงานเพื่อตอบสนอง ความท้าทาย การด� ำเนินงานเพื่อให้บริษัทฯ บรรลุเป้าหมายการลดการปล่อย ก๊าซเรือนกระจกสุทธิเป็นศูนย์ (Net Zero) ภายในปี 2593 โดยการลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจก และมุ่งเน้นการใช้ทรัพยากร ให้เกิดประโยชน์สูงสุด การด� ำเนินงานเพื่อตอบสนอง บริษัทฯ ก� ำหนดนโยบาย เป้าหมาย และตัวชี้วัดผลการด� ำเนินงาน (KPI) ด้านการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศที่ครอบคลุม ทั้งองค์กร ตลอดจนจัดท� ำโครงการด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมต่างๆ อาทิ โครงการ Maptaphut Integration (MTPi) โครงการ อนุรักษ์พลังงาน โดยมุ่งเน้นการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการด� ำเนินงาน ลดการใช้ทรัพยากร และลดการปล่อยของเสียออกสู่สิ่งแวดล้อม โดยใช้เทคโนโลยีและนวัตกรรม การบูรณาการความร่วมมือกับ คู่ค้า ลูกค้า และภาคีเครือข่ายภายนอก ความท้าทาย การรับมือกับความเสี่ยงด้านการบริหารจัดการน�้ ำอย่างยั่งยืน ที่อาจเป็นผลมาจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ และ การเปลี่ยนแปลงนโยบายและกฎระเบียบต่างๆ เพื่อป้องกัน การหยุดชะงักของกระบวนการผลิตและรักษาความสามารถ การแข่งขัน การด� ำเนินงานเพื่อตอบสนอง บริษัทฯ ติดตามและประเมินความเสี่ยงสภาวะการขาดแคลนน�้ ำ อย่างสม�่ ำเสมอ ทั้งด้านความพอเพียงของน�้ ำ คุณภาพน�้ ำ การเปลี่ยนแปลงทางกฎหมาย และกฎระเบียบที่อาจส่งผล ต่อต้นทุนการด� ำเนินธุรกิจ โดยบริษัทฯ ก� ำหนดแนวทาง การบริหารจัดการน�้ ำอย่างยั่งยืนที่มุ่งเน้นการสร้างความร่วมมือ กับเครือข่ายผู้ใช้น�้ ำ เพื่อผลักดันและส่งเสริมการบริหารจัดการน�้ ำ อย่างบูรณาการที่ยั่งยืนในระดับประเทศผ่านความร่วมมือกับ ภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน และภาคอุตสาหกรรม เช่น การเข้าร่วม คณะท� ำงานศูนย์ปฏิบัติการน�้ ำภาคตะวันออก (Water War Room) สถาบันน�้ ำและสิ่งแวดล้อมเพื่อความยั่งยืน สภาอุตสาหกรรม แห่งประเทศไทย และยังสร้างความมั่นคงด้านการบริหาร จัดการน�้ ำโดยร่วมกับภาคีเครือข่ายภายนอก และการนิคม อุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทยในการจัดหาแหล่งน�้ ำส� ำรอง เพื่อลดปัญหาการขาดแคลนน�้ ำ และรองรับการขยายตัว ของธุรกิจ นอกจากนั้น บริษัทฯ ยังมุ่งเน้นสนับสนุนการลงทุน เทคโนโลยีเพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการใช้น�้ ำ น� ำน�้ ำกลับมา หมุนเวียนใช้ประโยชน์ (Renewable Water) เป็นต้น Challenge Achieving GC’s net zero emissions goal within 2050 by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and optimizing resource efficiency. Strategic Response GC has defined and implemented climate change policies, targets, and key performance indicators (KPI) throughout the organization. We have also conducted several environmental projects, including Maptaphut Integration (MTPi) and energy conservation projects, placing emphasis on enhancing operational efficiency, lowering resource consumption and reducing waste discharged into the environment through technology and innovation as well as by integrating cooperation with suppliers, customers and external network partners. Challenge Addressing potential risks relating to sustainable water management due to climate change and changes in policies and regulations to prevent disruption of processes and preserve competitiveness. Strategic Response GC frequently monitors and assesses water shortage risks in terms of sufficiency, quality and changes in laws and regulations that may affect operating costs. Hence, GC has establ ished sustainable water management guidelines that highlight cooperation with water consumer networks to encourage and promote sustainable integrated water management at the national level through cooperation with government agencies, the private sector and the industrial sector, such as Water War Room, Water and Environment Institute for Sustainability, Federation of Thai Industries. We have also built security in water management by collaborating with external network partners and the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand to provide secondary water sources in order to reduce risk of water shortage and accommodate business growth.
