GC Attends the COP26 “Climate Change: Meeting the Immediate Threat” Event

Dr. Chaya Chandavasu, Senior Vice President, Sustainability and Corporate Branding, GC, attended the 2020 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) “Climate Change: Meeting the Immediate Threat” event organized by the British and Italian embassies in Thailand on February 5, 2020 at ICONSIAM.

The event was held to increase awareness among all sectors of society to improve their operations in relation to climate change while building a network across public and private sectors in Thailand that helps promote guidelines that can be developed into positive actions in each sector of the economy.

GC was invited as a partner to exhibit its achievements and introduce solutions for the industrial sector, which in turn, underscored the company’s commitment to being a role model in sustainability at the international level. Natural Resources and Environment Minister Warawut Silpa-archa also attended the event and gave a speech entitled, “Thailand’s Progress on Climate Change, Priority and Thoughts on Climate Negotiations.”
