GC debuts their first livestreamed 'CEO Townhall' with over 4,000 employees participating

Dr. Kongkranpan Intarajang, Chief Executive Officer, recently met with GC Group employees at his second CEO Townhall 2020 with the theme of ‘Continue and Overcome the Crisis… In Every Crisis Lies an Opportunity’ which was livestreamed through GC’s internal IT system from the Customer Solution Center directly to GC Group employees’ computers for the first time in light of the COVID-19 crisis, which prompted the work from home announcement.

The townhall was aimed at updating and informing employees, and helping them adjust to the ‘new normal.’ Turnout was very high with over 4,000 participants tuning in on May 27, 2020. The event also showed how GC is capable of technological readiness and adapting quickly to changes.

Dr. Kongkrapan talked about the importance of four key measures which GC has underscored to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic, for which the overriding priority is employee safety, followed by focusing on business continuity throughout the supply chain, contributions to the community, and effectively adapting to the new normal. Meanwhile, GC will continue to implement its 3-Steps: Step Change, Step Out, and Step Up into its business operations along with careful revisions where needed. In addition, the CEO concluded that the company cannot overcome this crisis and achieve its goals without the strong support and capabilities of its employees, which are the reason for the company’s success.

Mr. Varit Namwong, Chief Operating Officer – Center of Excellence, also shared his story about “Safety Moments: COVID-19 Measures” which GC continues to adopt and which is focused on caring for GC’s team as employee safety is the company’s number one priority. He also thanked all employees for taking proper care of themselves, as so far, the company has had zero cases of COVID-19 infections.
