The third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic has sharpened the focus on health and hygiene. To prevent any further spread of infections, GC is increasing awareness about properly sorting infectious waste throughout Bangkok. On May 3, 2021, Dr. Chaya Chandavasu, Senior Vice President, Sustainability and Corporate Branding, presented 20,000 red waste bags for infectious waste made from InnoPlus’s premium quality plastic to the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA). The bags are durable, moisture resistant, and certified with a carbon footprint label. In addition, GC provided 250 120-liter red waste bins operated by a foot pedal to avoid contact with hands as part of the “How to Yeak…How to Manage Infectious Waste” project. Both the bins and bags have clearly marked messages to facilitate the sorting of infectious waste and avoiding contamination. The donation was accepted by Bangkok Governor Pol. Gen. Aswin Kwanmuang.
