The notion 'Chemistry for Better Living' has materialized when 20,000 PBS bio cups were in the hands of 5,000 environment-conscious runners who participated in the "Silpakorn Cha-Am Mini-Half Marathon: Run Fun Art 2018" campaign, held on September 30, 2018, which was the first time for Silpakorn University, IT Campus. In this regard, Silpakorn University initiated the 'Be Smart Be Green ALL WE CAN DO' campaign in order to encourage this event to use environment-friendly products, under PTT Global Chemical PCL (GC)'s thinking that GC produces chemicals that bring happiness to everyone. GC participated in this campaign by sponsoring 20,000 cups of 20-ounce bio cups made with BioPBS-coated paper that can be decomposed naturally, and Mawin Plastic Co., Ltd.; GC's customers, sponsored 20,000 pairs of spoons and forks made with PLA in this event. It is considered the first marathon event in Thailand that used environment-friendly products.
