PTTGC Participates in TBCSD Press Conference, towards Operating the Business for Sustainable Development Goals

Khun Prasert Bunsumpun, Chairman of the Board, PTT Global Chemical PCL and Chairman of Thailand Business Council for Sustainable Development (TBCSD), served as the guest of honor in TBCSD press conference with the objective of operating the business to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) according to the government’s policy.

The event also featured the presentation of Green Meetings certificates, including the registration of carbon reduction labels for products, certification of renewable energy utilization and production, and the Green Labels certification. This year, Khun Chatvalit Thamsaroj, Vice President – General Administration, was the recipient of the renewed certificate of Corporate Green Meeting on June 21, 2017 at Centara Grand Hotel, Central World.

Furthermore, Khun Supattanapong Punmeechaow, Chief Executive Officer and President and Khun Warawan Tippawanich, Senior Vice President – Corporate Affairs, also participated in TBCSD Annual Conference 2017 in the evening of the same day, under the topic TBCSD in Business Operations towards Sustainable Development Goals.

In the event, there were a number of special lectures; the SGDs and the WBCSD’s Action 2020 Platform by Mr. Peter Bakker, President and CEO of WBCSD, the Global Goals for Sustainable Development by Mr. Luc Stevens, UN President Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Thailand, and Thailand’s Execution Plan in Putting SGDs in Practice by Dr. Poramethee Wimolsiri, Secretary General of the National Economic and Social Development Board, as well as the ceremony of announcing commitment to operate the business according to sustainable development goals and the award presentation ceremony for excellence in environmental and sustainability aspects.
