GC collaborates with Siemens Energy to explore and develop a hydrogen energy power generation project, aiming for Net Zero by 2050
Rayong, February 23, 2024 - PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC) has partnered with Siemens Energy to sign a collaboration agreement to study and develop a project for generating electricity from hydrogen energy (Future Hydrogen Society) as part of the efforts to mitigate and slow down global warming issue. Aiming for the Net Zero goal by 2050, GC has a clear plan and continuously evaluates its projects. One of the plans includes using clean and low-carbon energy to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This aligns with GC's operational, which plans to drive business growth robustly and sustainably while taking care of customers under the concept of "Together to Net Zero.”
Mr. Panchoak Auetanapa, Senior Vice President, Utilities at PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC), stated that the hydrogen energy power generation project is one of GC's tangible projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This initiative demonstrates a commitment to developing and utilizing clean energy in the production process, resulting in low-carbon products. This effort extends to GC's customers, who, as consumers, play a role in environmental conservation. This collaboration aims to contribute to climate change mitigation and support the goal of achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions.
