On June 9, 2021, GC provided coveralls and PE gowns to protect medical personnel when visiting Samet Island in Rayong province. The island is set to be Thailand’s first area where local residents are 100% vaccinated against Covid-19, and the first location to use a sub-district health promoting hospital as a vaccination point in cooperation with Rayong Hospital and other sectors. Mr. Satit Pitutecha, Deputy Minister of Public Health, and Mr. Channa Iamsaeng, Governor of Rayong Province, as the recipient of the PE gowns, presided over the opening ceremony of the Covid-19 vaccinations for about 1,800 people in Koh Samet. GC also donated hand gel and ‘Upcycled’ t-shirts to Ban Phe’s Village Health Volunteers and Koh Samet’s Village Health Volunteers who are working in the area.

GC believes in increasing the number of safe areas for medical personnel and those who are working on the frontlines during the Covid-19 pandemic through the “Millions Support… Ensuring a Safe Space for All” project.
