Circular Living Symposium 2019: Upcycling Our Planet
The Athenee Hotel Bangkok Friday, 28 June, 2019 08:30 until 17:00 hrs.
Why should you care about Circular Living?
The world’s natural resources are under threat. Now is the time for a “resource revolution” — a whole new way to get the most benefit from the natural resources that remain. Circular Living is the solution that will drive this revolution by minimizing waste and extracting the greatest value from the planet’s resources.
The world is facing incredible pressure. The global population keeps rising while natural resources are becoming scarce. Our “disposable society” is generating an increasing amount of waste in a way that is no longer sustainable.
Businesses, government agencies, and other organizations are widely embracing the concept of the Circular Economy to reduce our impact on the planet for everyone’s benefit. The Circular Economy helps us to work within the limits of earth’s natural resources while conserving them for future generations.
The Circular Economy is all about the 5Rs — Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Renewable, and Refuse. It also includes a concept called upcycling, which means transforming plastic waste materials into useful new items of even greater value. By adopting the principles of the Circular Economy into your life, you become part of the Circular Living movement.
